CONSTITUTIONAL OBJECTS

(a) to advance education by providing public amenities in the community for art, including but not limited to contemporary art, architecture, printing and publishing in particular for residents of Tower Hamlets and the users of the Charity’s facilities;

(b) to promote art for the benefit of the public by encouraging the development, display and distribution of emerging art practices and providing amenities for the promotion of those practices.

PROGRAMME

The current programme at E:ventGallery is curated by Shama  Khanna.  Khanna has worked previously at the Museum of London and was Assistant Curator at Showroom, London, before traveling to NYC to participate in the Writers’ Hub at PERFORMA07. In 2008 she returned to New York to work at P.S. 1 and e-flux project space. She was Curator at Large at The Gallery at Goldsmiths for 2009/10 and has since been continuing her practice developing projects in London, the UK and abroad.
