Altered Sequence
Altered Sequence presents a group exhibition of works that, in different ways, rearrange natural orders and sequences. The works open a space for conceptual and formal speculation through a series of reworkings of natural phenomena, configurations and durations. Foliages, grafted with artificial materials, sprout new articulations; and familiar thresholds of the natural world, its edges, shapes, rhythms and passages of time, become unstable.
The exhibition poses questions related to the influence of natural orders inherent in the process of perception, and to the potentials created by the disruption of these orders. What alternatives are opened through the negation of natural orders? Altered Sequence traces these uncharted territories emerging at the intersections of the natural world and artificial rearrangements.
