CRITICAL QUESTIONS RELATING TO WHERE THE PROJECT IS NOW:
- the project is currently heavily angled at the environment, is the project just about reskinning the browser interface?
- we should be looking at the work first rather than the frame
- not all artworks can move between platforms be they web or phone or DVD or video
- if the artwork is made to work on the web there will be constraints and functional requirements
- current browsers are very useful tools, can Liquid improve on this?
- what do you want to communicate in terms of experience?
INTERFACE:
- current interface metaphors are seldom questioned eg. 'desktop' / 'window'
- By showing the code first will the code become interface to the artwork?
- How does Liquid link with the physical space?
- Do we replicate the physical space and the way work is presented in a space?
- Will the interface be used in the space to present the work using projections?
- How will the user view the art on Liquid eg. will the internet browser be open in the background?
- How will the work be grouped, arranged, classified, tagged? Curator classifications? Visitor classifications? Artist classifications?
HOW LIQUID WILL EFFECT THE ARTWORKS?:
- the environment changes the nature/meaning of the work eg. showing a video piece on a mobile phone changes the nature/meaning
- will the artworks be stored on a Liquid database? are we making links to remote works? how reliable would it be to make links to remote works?
- how many copies of the files do artists make? is it like video art?
- is there an archive of the work or does some documentation remain or what happens after the exhibition/event
HOW OPEN IS THE SYSTEM?
- Is the system open to hacking? What do you mean by hacking?
- Is it OpenSource? What part of it is OpenSource?
- Is it a content management system?
- Will artists be encouraged to crack the infrastructure?
- Do you mean the system is open to anyone to extend and expand it?
- Is the system only open to invited artists?
- Will the system be offered to other galleries to use?
DISTRIBUTION:
- Should we distribute the software so that it exists in several places around the web?
- Will Liquid be a download-environment that exists locally on your machine?
- On what media platforms can Liquid operate? Can Liquid use other networks such as urban screens?

For me the meeting, and the subsequent blog entries re-visited some of the assumptions that we thought we were happy with and provided a valuable fresh range of insights. Reminding us of some of the concerns that may really influence those encountering liquid.
