Peter Lewis is an artist, curator and writer who has exhibited internationally since 1970s. He both makes specific works in painting, drawing and photography/film, in parallel organising and curating shows within the global contexts and platforms for collective networks of artists, filmmakers and writers.

He is now Research Fellow at The Leeds School of Contemporary Art and Graphic Design, Leeds Metropolitan University.

Lewis' interest lies in the interstitial space and time constructed between film, drawing, and its theoretical, philosophical and poetic investments.

His particular interest is in the work of Jean-Luc Godard, Alain Robbe-Grillet and the writings of Alain Badiou, evinced in works that resist easy classification, yet are verifications of new 'intra-philosophical' discourses.
