Allsopp and Weir are Paul Allsopp and Andy Weir. They have been working collaboratively since graduating from an MA in ‘Contemporary Art Theory’ at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2003. They have since exhibited widely in the UK and internationally.

Their work, mainly in video, stages regimes of control (political, religious, choreographic, linguistic), simultaneously with modes of immanent escape (flight, spasm, rupture). Recent work investigates processes of mistranslation, rituals of calling, exhaustion, and sonic affects of the voice.
